Commercial Manufacturing started in the tree-nut business in California with walnuts and expanded into other species as popularity and acreage grew. Today it serves the tree-nut industry on several continents. Two of the most common types of machinery used by the tree-nut industry are ball deck graders and aspirators (known as air cleaners elsewhere). While Commercial Manufacturing is well respected for these components, it also makes walnut crackers and roller graders, and for in-shell operations the rotary reel graders, bleaching trommels, dewatering shakers, air knives, and roller inspection tables used there.
